(Twitter (Xbox One)/Facebook (PlayStation))The Xbox Two and the PlayStation 5 are but concepts and the stuff of rumors–but people are already thinking one will release before the other.
With the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 finally getting to almost half of what the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 was, it’s safe to say that both the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Two are on the minds of developers Sony and Microsoft. However, how much of the rumors about the next-gen consoles are true?
Christian Today’s report covers rumors on which console gets finished first. It’s safe to say that there are very little to no details known about both consoles, as the PS4 and the Xbox One are still at the heigh of their console strength. There is also no assurance that they will be called ‘PlayStation 5′ and ‘Xbox Two.’
A lot that have been coming out appears to be rumors, but a year has been pointed toward when the possible launch of the PlayStation 5 may happen—2017, although in Xbox’ arena, even Phil Spencer does not know when the Xbox One will get its successor. He made it clear, though, that the Xbox One will definitely be getting one.
In this Xbox 2 Gamers report, the date is given to be November 2020, although it is not an official announcement—just an estimate, as shown by a release date history box on the website.
Everything’s just guess work, and it’s absurd to think that the Xbox One might have a short life cycle. Perhaps there’s the right timing for tech to be considered, but it is clear that both consoles will be having a closer relationship with the web and the Cloud than previous generations.
With the current trend leaning toward 4K resolution and virtual reality (VR) technology, the consoles will possibly feature these, as well as other next-gen technology which may become available in the coming years.
