The Boston Celtics look to extend their 14-game home win streak Friday night against the visiting Houston Rockets, who are clinging to the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Despite their mediocre 32-32 record, the Rockets have played well of late, winning three of their past four games — including a 113-107 win over the Toronto Raptors earlier this week. All-Star guard James Harden has scored 25 or more points in 12 straight games and 15 of 16 overall, while veteran All-Star center Dwight Howard has averaged 21 points and 14.5 rebounds in the team’s past two games.
For the Celtics, big man Kelly Olynyk will miss his 11th consecutive game with a shoulder injury.
