The Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Beta was released earlier this week, but gamers were allowed to start playing on Friday. The beta is multiplayer only and features just one game mode. The game mode is Team Deathmatch and can be played in three different maps. The maps are: Rooftops, Island and Madagascar City. The beta also allows players to unlock new weapons, abilities and items.
Here are a few tips for the multiplayer beta, which began on Friday and will end on Sunday:
The Grappling Hook
The grappling hook is now a part of this game. Not only can it take you from one side of the map to another in seconds, but it can also be used to take out enemies.
The grappling hook can save a lot time and even help you get away from your opponents. But always watch your surroundings before using it because this feature makes you an easy target while you’re flying across the map.
You can do things on your own but it is always good to have a teammate or two watching your back. They have the ability to revive you and keep the game going. Your teammates will also need help, so if you revive one of them you’ll get extra points and cash.
Don’t just run out there and become an easy target. When you’re in a tough battle with an opponent and think you’re about to lose, take your time. Set traps and confuse your opponent by thinking you’re going one way and then coming back or even going the opposite way.
If you’re about to be taken down, retreat through a door or corner and set traps. Throw a mine or C4 as you’re backing up, your opponents will sometimes chase you thinking you’re almost done. Most online gamers should know about this since it is a common tactic in shooting games.
Call For Help
When you have enough cash in the game, you can call a Sidekick for help. There are four of them:
Brute – Can get you out of a tough battle by firing at the enemies.
Hunter- Tracks enemies and attacks them. Unlocks with one upgrade point and deployment costs two LP.
Savior – Revives players and gives you gear and ammo.
Sniper – Sits at one position and defends it with a high-powered rifle.
Select the ones you think are going to help you the most during the games. Some give you the ability to revive yourself or your teammates. Others give you additional ammo, so make sure you build good loadouts when you have the chance.
The Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Beta is available right now and will end on Sunday. Remember, no PS Plus subscription required to play the Uncharted 4 Multiplayer for this weekend. Have fun!
