HIT THE RED BUTTON

The famous red button is nothing new but Sky Q has recently made this interactive service far more hi-tech.

Hitting red on your Sky Q remote will launch a host of bonus features that will add to the enjoyment of the sporting event you’re tuning in to.

For example, while watching live Formula 1 you can bring up a full interactive map of the Monaco circuit or choose which driver you want to ride onboard with.

It will also show you featured content, results, news and bonus footage without interrupting the live action.

Most of the live sporting events on Sky have this interactive feature – just look out for the red button icon on the screen.

APPS

Sky Q comes pre-installed with a host of unique apps.

These includes news, weather, photos and a dedicated Sky Sports app which brings you all the news, scores and fixtures from your chosen sport.

When you load any of the applications you can continue to watch live content while the app displays extra news down the side of your TV.

Every sport has its own section and each is packed with latest videos, results and standings, as well as the day’s top sporting news.

DOUBLE VISION: Sky Q can be viewed on a tablet as well as your main TV

DOUBLE YOUR SCREENS

Sky Q is clever because it can beam content from the main box to any tablet in your home.

This video feed IS NOT beamed over the internet which means you won’t get any buffering or be behind the action when a goal gets scored.

The tablet feature means you can watch two sporting events at the same time…what more could you wish for.

WHAT’S ON: Sky Q has a dedicated section for sports fans

FIND YOUR FAVOURITE SPORT

Another nice feature on Sky Q is the dedicated Sports section in the main menu.

Tapping on “Sports” will reveal all the live sporting events that are currently on air.

You can also scroll down to discover content by specific sports which include football, rugby, cricket, F1 and golf.

If there’s nothing on that takes your fancy the “on demand” section is packed with all the non live sports content that’s available on Sky.

WATCH SPORT IN PEACE

As well as being able to record four shows at once Sky Q also offers a seamless multi-room experience.

This allows you to watch different live or recorded shows in three separate rooms.

If the sport you are watching has been recorded you can even pause it on one TV and pick up from where you left off in another.

WIth all content available in every room this multi-room option means you should be able to watch your favourite sports in peace.
