Game 1 ended with the Lightning taking the win, 3-1, over the Pens, according to Sports Illustrated. However, the Pens can’t afford to go 0-2, because the last 19 teams that dropped the first two games in the conference finals eventually were eliminated. Uh-oh.

“We’ve got to have a resilience approach,” Pittsburgh coach Mike Sullivan, 48, said after the loss. “When you get this far in the playoffs, you’re playing real good opponents. It’s hard to win every night. When you don’t win, you’ve got to respond the right way.” Respond with your own way by getting an official Penguins hat here.

Pittsburgh may even it up since Tampa Bay goaltender Ben Bishop is considered questionable due to a Game 1 injury, per Bleacher Report. Penguins’ Patric Hornqvist, 29, managed to nail a goal on the power play, thanks to Sidney Crosby, 28, and Phil Kessel, 28, but that was the only bright moment in that game. Tampa Bay’s Alex Killorn, 26, Ondre Palat, 25, and Jonathan Drouin, 21, proved that lightning could strike more than once, winning the game with a trio of goals. Will Pittsburgh’s Matt Murray, 21, start this game? Or, after he allowed three goals within 20 shots in Game 1, will they replace him with veteran Marc-André Fleury, 31? Either way, the Penguins need to keep Tampa Bay from taking another victory if they want to keep their Stanley Cup hopes alive.
