EA has started registration for Need for Speed‘s console beta test. Fans can sign up over at the official website between now and Sept. 25, and the beta is expected to start shortly afterwards.
A beta test for the PC version of the game has not been mentioned or confirmed yet, so only those with a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will be able to take part. You’ll also need an Origin account tied to your console as well. That’s the hard part for me.
The beta test will be open to players throughout all major regions, so be sure to sign up if you live in the U.K., the U.S., Canada, Japan and mainland Europe.
Developer Ghost Games took a short one year break from the annual series to freshen it up and help evolve it into something beyond the creative reach of former developer Criterion Games. Both it and EA are hoping that this latest entry will help set new expectations for future Need for Speed titles. I mean, it doesn’t even have a subtitle!
Everyone is doing that these days, though.
Need for Speed launches on Nov. 3 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
