Blizzard had hinted at this earlier, but now we seem to have some confirmation that upcoming team shooter Overwatch is coming to consoles.

Under the meta tag, comes this full description:

Overwatch is Blizzard’s team-shooter for PC and consoles. Choose your hero from a huge roster of soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and oddities, each with their own unique set of abilities. Bend time, defy physics, and unleash a dizzying array of extraordinary powers in concert with your allies. Lead your team to victory in iconic locations across a near future Earth. The world needs heroes!

This description doesn’t name any consoles, of course, so there’s no guarantee you will be able to play it on any hardware you own soon. At the moment, it would make sense to announce it for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Possibly it might be brought to the Wii U successor (which may or may be the NX), but bear in mind that Overwatch is still at the early stages of development.

It’s not impossible that Overwatch will end up on 9th generation consoles. If it was up to you, however, what platform would you like to play it on? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
