Jotun, the hand-drawn exploration game based in a world of Norse mythology, is coming to consoles this summer.
The console edition is called Jotun: Valhalla Edition and includes a “boss rush mode with even fiercer versions of the already challenging jotun,” or “Norse elementals.”
In the new Valhalla Mode, the jotun are fiercer, and therefore more difficult, than in the regular version of the game.
“In Jotun, you play Thora, a Viking warrior who died an inglorious death.” In order to enter Valhalla, the great hall of the afterlife in Norse mythology, Thora must “prove herself to the Gods.”
The PC edition of the game, already out, is also getting the updated Valhalla Edition as a free update when the game hits consoles later this year.
In our Jotun review for PC, we called the game a “wondrous trek through Norse mythology,” lauding its “beautiful animation” and thoughtful design.
Jotun: Valhalla Edition hits PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U this summer at a price of $15.
